    Tananarive Due (tah-nah-nah-REEVE doo) is an award-winning author who teaches Black Horror and Afrofuturism at UCLA. She is an executive producer on Shudder's groundbreaking documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror. Her books include Ghost Summer: Stories, My Soul to Keep, The Good House, and The Reformatory. She and her late mother, civil rights activist Patricia Stephens Due, coauthored Freedom in the Family: A Mother-Daughter Memoir of the Fight for Civil Rights. She is married to author Steven Barnes, with whom she collaborates on screenplays. They live with their son, Jason.

      It was an excellent audio book,I loved the flow of the story. The balance between good (light) and evil (darkness ) pain , love lost and regained death accompanied by resurrection. Jessica and Alex, unwavering belief in the higher power. I couldn’t put this audio book down!

      Soooooo amazingly good. Honestly. I had a great time listening to this book. It's super weird and wonderful and the narrator was awesome. Really great world building.

      This was a riveting and nail-biting book!! I can't believe that I have been enjoying this series as much as I have. When I first started, I wasn't convinced, but WOW. I am a true believer now!!
