      Superb. Super fun, but with beautiful messages about recovering from substance addiction and sexual assault. I also loved the progressive view of gender and sexuality.

      Jenny Trout/Abigail Barnette is an author I feel safe with. If you're looking for fun romance that shows a healthy relationship going through real relationship issues and growth, I recommend the Boss series. It's like 50 Shades of Grey, but without the abuse.

      N.B. The second book in the series is all about cancer, though, and it's super stressful. The first, third, and fourth are a lot more fun.
