About this audiobook

I had everything I ever wanted-a wife, a kid, with two more on the way. I was living the American dream. After the babies were born, we hit a rough patch. I did everything to prove my love, to show Suzy that nothing was more important than her. After some work and a lot of time, we found our groove again.

Just when life had evened out, a familiar enemy came back to haunt us. It wasn't my past that followed us, but my brother's. When the danger gets too close, I'll do anything to defend my family. There's nothing more important than the people I love, and I'll protect what's mine-even if it costs me my life.

Both narrator voices are irritating. The female voice is just ultra obnoxious and way too over the top. She draws words out for some unknown reason. Very difficult to get into this book because of how slow she narrates. It bothered me how the character complained about being pregnant when some women would give anything to be pregnant. And to call an unborn child (fiction or not) beast, is just beyond me.

I really like the realistic POV of Suzy and Joe's marriage and some of the trials that married people go through. It made the characters more real to me

"God clearly had a sense of humor." And so does Author Chelle Bliss.

Suzy and City are back with the entire Gallo family. Unlike the previous books (exception is Uncover Me) in the Men of Inked series that are under my erotica shelf, this book falls into my contemporary romance category. Oh, don't you worry. Ms. Bliss gives us plenty of hot sexy times with City and Suzy again. However, this book you get to spend quality family time with all the Gallos through their eyes. Whenever a family expands, humorous situations will occur between the seriousness that is adult life. In addition to seeing your favorite characters grow up,or better, man up, Ms. Bliss gives the reader a few different story plots that seamlessly weave together for an excellent weekend read.

If you haven't read any of the Men of Inked series, I strongly recommend you read, at a minimum, Throttle Me for Suzy and City's origin story. Although Chelle Bliss is excellent at telling the story if you haven't read the other books or series so that you don't feel lost. However, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't read book 1 at a minimum. If you are one of the lucky readers who have been following the Gallo family and ALFA PI, you find an excellent story that brings all the characters you love together. I'm going to put my two cents out there. It didn't feel like good-bye or a wrap up novel if that's what you anticipate. As I read through Suzy and City's POV, I felt like I got to be a part of the lives of the Gallos. But ended on a note where (hopefully) there can be more.
