About this audiobook

Newly divorced, Avery Hart returns home to Wildwood eager to take on her dream opportunity and transform her family's dive bar into her own bakery. The contractor for hire isn't just a master with his hands—he's big, built, and wears a tool belt like nobody's business. Despite being an ex-con, Trace Hutton is irresistible. Too bad he'd never go for someone as inexperienced as Avery.

Trace needs to focus on the job at hand, not daydream about smearing icing all over the sexy baker…and licking it off. This job is the key to getting his construction company back on its feet after his time in prison. Besides, no one deserves a fresh start more than Avery, and she certainly won't get that with him.

After a delectable night of passion (and pie), Trace craves something more. But he'll be damned if he'll let his checkered past crush her dreams. And as Avery starts to realize how Trace fulfills more than just her physical needs, she struggles with whether to let her history decide her future, or explore the wild new possibilities of forever…

Wild Kisses by Skye Jordan is book number two in the Wildwood series. This is Avery Hart and Trace Hutton's story.Avery has gone through a divorce and is in the process of starting her own bakery. Trace is an ex-con. He is struggling to get his contracting business back going and to rebuild his reputation. Avery hires Trace to transform her family's dive bar into a bakery. The chemistry between Avery and Trace is off the charts. But, neither are ready for a relationship with trying to build a business and recover personally. Things don't always go according to our plans. Will they take a chance on love or will it just be a fling.I loved the banter between Avery and Trace. This is a sexy, steamy, and heartfelt romance.FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

With everything that has gone wrong in their lives in the past, the renovation of the old bar into a bakery - diner gives both Avery and Trace the opportunity to start afresh. Neither wants to get involved with something serious but there's no harm is having some mutually satisfying fun. Or at least that is what they both thought. Avery is wary of running with her feelings that she doesn't trust very much anymore. Trace's stint in jail comes back to haunt him. Emotions run high as do libidos. But in the end, Avery and Trace must acknowledge that being together, in spite of the odds, is a hundred times better than being miserable apart.

Book received from NetGalley. This was more of a 2.5 than a 3-star book for me. I think part of it was that I had not read the first book and was a bit lost at some of the things going on. I will say that it was a very hot read and the chemistry between the main characters was off the charts. I also liked the fact that the characters were doing their best to make something of themselves in a town that wasn't always forgiving of their pasts. I will likely give this another try after I read the first book, this is definitely not a standalone.

I loved this book and this couple! They both had so much on their shoulders, but they carved out a little time for each other. Trace was my kinda man; hardworking, brooding, caring, and just enough of a badass to make a lady sweat. I somehow missed the first book in the series, but you'd better believe I'm going to buy it as soon as I finish this review. I honestly think Ms. Jordan can not write a bad book or even just an okay book. I've only ever read great characters and even better storylines. Let's hope she keeps up this trend. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.
