About this audiobook

Shortly before being captured, Major "Andy" Andrews, USMC, had time to make one phone call, to his best friend Cal Stokes. Now left to rot in a cell in Helmand Province, Andy's time is almost up.

Will Cal and his team from the Jefferson Group be in time to save Andy? Will the CIA help, or get in the way? What are the political implications should their mission succeed?

Follow Cal on his latest mission, and find out what happens when the layers of Afghanistan get peeled back.

"Disavowed: A Patriotic Adventure" is by far the bests installment of the series and kept my attention from beginning to end. Who orchestrated the kidnapping of killing of Andy in Afghanistan on this his first mission with the CIA? How does Cal and the team react when they find that Andy is MIA and they're not sure who in the government they can trust? Is our own government trying to kill our own agents? People I thought were good were actually bad and then actually good again...kept me guessing until the very end.Two criticisms on this fine story. First, Mr. Cooper, you continue to do this in every book in this series when talking about medals in the military, soldiers are bestowed these awards, sometimes posthumously - THEY DO NOT WIN THEM! I would appreciate if you can make this correction. Secondly, typos and extra words continue in this book as they have throughout the series...why aren't your editors able to find them? Each of the books in the series are stand alone books and aren't dependent upon an earlier book in the series. However, to fully understand the characters and what they do, I'd suggests starting at the beginning. Readers will find each installment better than the previous one. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and looking forward to another in the future Mr. Cooper! Great story!John Podlaski, authorCherries - A Vietnam War Novel
