- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a very hard book to read, due to the subject matter. It was very well written and it keeps your interest. The two young characters in the story, get to know each other and find out, they have a lot more in common than what they first thought.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the first in a new series, First Street Church Romances, by author Melissa Storm. It’s refreshing to read a Christian romance and this author knows how to write them. With this story, you get love, faith, prayers and a little bit a church all in one book. The story is about Summer Smith who while she is watching her aunts flower shop needs to decide what to do with her life. Then Ben Davis is living a life he didn’t want. After his bother shoots himself and commits suicide in the middle of the small town, his mother becomes an alcoholic and he has given up his dreams to take care of her. When Summer and Ben met, they feel an instance attraction. Summer doesn’t want to start anything since she is only there a few months but love seems to have a mind of its own. The story continues as their love grows, the town grows to love Summer and how to help with Ben’s mother. Even though Ben doesn’t believe in God in the beginning by the end he knows who is in control.I received this as an ARC for an honest review and I recommend it to all those who like to read sweet, Christian romances.
