- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a book of challenges! It is good to contemplate how God helps one through different situations in life.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love Wanda Brunstetters books. The joy you feel reading them, the feeling that god is near you. That time and love can healing anything. I really like these books and the mystery behind who is doing all the attacks to the family.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5An insipid book. I couldn't finish it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was book number 2 in this series. Again, the attacks on this family continued and the person responsible was not identified. Tlhis book dealt with sister number 2 (Ruth). She was married only two months when someone in a truck ran her and her husband in their buggy off the road. Her husband was killed. She went into a deep depression for several months. Finally she went to work for a neighbor who had 5 children. He needed help as his wife had died . Not only did she help the children but she was helped by being around them. Again, the ending left you up in the air as to who the killer was. Oher than that, this was a good book and dealt with several issues.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely loved this 2nd book in the series just as much as the first. It is a very easy read. The Hostetters are an amish family living in ohio with their their 3 daughters. There have been attacks on the their family with no known culprit. The story just flows and shows the strength the family has after the attacks are their family. This book in particular is about Ruth , the secons daughter, and the hard ache and loss that she goes through.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The saga of the Hostettler family continues in book two of the Sister's of Holmes County series by Wanda Brunstetter.A Sister's Test follows Grace's sister, Ruth and her desire to marry and have a house full of children. That seems an impossible task since her break-up with Luke, a troubled young Amish man. But when Ruth meets Martin a courtship begins and couple quickly decides to wed.Meanwhile, someone is still out to get the Hostettler family, destroying their garden, smashing their mailbox, and leaving a note saying, "I’m not done with you yet."When Martin is involved in a buggy accident and Ruth's father is injured trying to round up the horses someone intentionally let out of the barn, Ruth's world seems to crumble. Will she have enough faith to continue or will she leave Holmes County and go out into the world?Wanda Brunstetter has given us another "can't put it down" novel about the Amish of Holmes County, Ohio.
