      2nd time I read this. Claudia is still an idiot who thinks everything happens because of her. And enabling your friend and sister to be soft and weak in a post a polyp tic world does them no services and is beyond stupid. Just read this to get to the others since the draconi are featured in Ice Planet Barbarians spin off.

      I'm sorry but eventhough I finished the book I can't give it more than 2 stars.
      There is no story, really, which could have been interesting, a sci-fi, futuristic plot.
      It was all about the sex, if that's what you are looking for this book might be for you. ?
      The writing is ok aswell as the characters, but for me it was a waisted opportunity when the story is only skin-deep.

      Might be because I just finished the latest LJ Shen book, and am suffering from a major book hangover from it that I found that I couldn't finish this. Basically it's Ice Planet Barbarians except in post dragon attacked USA. Same "Mate", same communication problems, and the same "I shouldn't want to have sex with this (insert paranormal or sci-fi character here), but I just can't seem to help myself" trope.

      There is an audience for these books, and I am on occasion one of them, but not today.

      I'm being kind and giving 2 stars to this book because I couldn't finish it. I listened to it for about 5 hours ans it was painful. There is NO STORY. It's basically the dragon guy just trying to fuck her for no reason. Plus he sounds like a retard I can't. Im not against a little bit or even a lot of spice but I still need a story.

      This is a 10 book series and you are going to want to listen or read them all they have a great story line and the story amps up with every book so all your questions you are wondering are answered and not forget all the STEAMY SEX . From your listener B. Moe

      Sadly I found Claudia a total a*#hole, for some reason it's the humans who are a*#holes in this book. Kael is such a great character, completely alien yet kinder and better than any of the humans and Claudia definitely don't deserve him. I love Ruby Dixon books but she has two type of human female,
      One is weak, whiny and an a#*hole and the second is strong, Stubborn and an a#*hole, very frustrating!!
      Also there is too much Claudia POV and not enough Kael POV, so we only know what he tells her but not how he see things.

      It is a fast-paced but it is a very slow start once it gets into the main heart of the story you understand why it takes a slow start and it is actually well done to build this land this area the situation that happened and laying the groundwork to understand possible other stories down the line which I am actually very happy to get to the next story because now I want to know what happens to another party that was introduced in this book I would recommend it if you're looking for a futuristic world or an America and Dragons with their mates both male dragons and they do touch on the female dragons which could be a completely other series.
