About this audiobook
His signature jaw line and charismatic characters made him an American symbol. His films, including Bringing Up Baby, The Philadelphia Story, and North by Northwest, were timeless classics. However, Grant was also married five times and sustained a tortured, obsessive relationship with money. In this comprehensive book, Geoffrey Wansell traces the threads of both light and darkness in one of Holly-wood’s greatest stars. As his friend and co-star Deborah Kerr wrote, he was “one of the most outstanding personalities in the history of the cinema.”

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Good. Enjoyed it. Nice performance and remarkable life. Looking forward to watching some more Cary Grant films now.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5PERFECT! I've been waiting for a biography about Cary Grant for years, not just a book praising, idolizing him, but telling the story of the, real man behind the image. The narration was excellent. And you can tell that it was written with care. I enjoyed it, very much and I'm very glad that he seemed, to find the peace and happiness that eluded him in his younger years, later on with his daughter and retirement. I was especially moved by the ? love; the unbreakable love he had for her. R.I.P. Mr. Grant. ?
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It's always a pleasure looking at this face. This is a light biography that manages to tell just enough about the man that a stranger should know, and not too invasive. There is a complete filmography listed at the back.
