Call Me by Your Name first swept across the world in 2007. It is the story of a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between an adolescent boy and a summer guest at his parents' cliffside mansion on the Italian Riviera. During the restless summer weeks, unrelenting but buried currents of obsession, fascination, and desire intensify their passion as they test the charged ground between them and verge toward the one thing both already fear they may never truly find again: total intimacy. André Aciman's critically acclaimed debut novel is a frank, unsentimental, heartrending elegy to human passion.
More praise for Call Me By Your Name:
"...Armie Hammer (who plays Oliver in the movie) steps effortlessly into Elio's interior world. The result is staggering." — BookRiot
"a must-listen for anyone familiar with the book or film." — Buzzfeed
"Hammer’s soft, velvety voice lends itself perfectly to the story and its Italian setting. While you might think this one isn’t worth a listen if you’ve already seen the movie or read the book, many reviewers say it is still worth taking in even if you know the story – some even say it’s worth listening to more than once." — AskMen

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Yet another one of its kind. Riding on the same train as almost all other novels in the LGBT category. Really nothing ingenious here.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh this book!! The movie is amazing and beautiful so I needed to check out the book. It is slightly different than the movie, it is one of those rare occasions where the movie is better than the original book in my opinion. That is also because the film is near perfect so the bar is high. Call me by your name, the book, is also beautiful but more wicked and weird. There are some wonderful paragraphs in it and the end hit me hard, I cried. Then started to listen to it all again immediately. Armie Hammer does an excellent job narrating it. Highly recommended!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5For a 17 year old at his family's summer house in Italy "the pain, the stoking the thrill of someone new, the promise of so much bliss hovering a fingertip away" begins with a guest, one of the "young academics" his parents host each summer, a type of writer's retreat. Oliver is 7 years older than Elio. They have a mutual attraction but it takes time to acknowledge. Then they must live their lives as if I hadn't happened. Very well written.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Beautifully written, This proves just how tender and unquestionable love can be
One might not look at it as a love story except as a tragic prose . Truly captivating - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I think I need to read this again in order to fully capture the meaning of the story. I loved it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Pretty good book! Great writing. I don’t think the intention is to romanticize the relationship between the two main characters. So if you don’t do that it isn’t terrible ? I wouldn’t see this as a love story, honestly.
