Doch die Hochzeitsfeierlichkeiten, zu denen annähernd 10.000 Hugenotten nach Paris geströmt sind, werden diesen zur Falle: in der Nacht zum 24. August, der „Bartholomäusnacht“, werden Tausende von ihnen niedergemetzelt, und die Mordwelle setzt sich fort durch das Land. – Dies ist der zweite Teil von „Die Bartholomäusnacht“.
