About this audiobook

Life was better in the old days. Or was it?

That’s the question Greg Heffley is asking as his town voluntarily unplugs and goes electronics-free. But modern life has its conveniences, and Greg isn’t cut out for an old-fashioned world.

With tension building inside and outside the Heffley home, will Greg find a way to survive? Or is going “old school” just too hard for a kid like Greg?

They go to a camp for a week for school to learn about hard work. If you liked the previous 9 books, you know what you're in for.

Greg's mom is on an anti-technology kick. Dear lord, help us all. One of the more amusing of the later DoaWK books.

I can't think of anything unique to say about this particular book in the series. My review of it is the same as all the rest.

Another hilarious installment of the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. The pig from the last book is still living with the Heffley family. Please Jeff give the pig his own book. Grandpa moves in and mom decides to get everyone to unplug from the digital age. There is also a visit to the camp from hell. High jinks abound but all is made right in the end. I see a lot of reviewers criticizing Gregg's selfish behavior. They clearly have not met any middle school kids in real life as they are inherently selfish. They are also trying to work on the grown up thing and like Greg they make mistakes but I think most of them get their moral compass set correctly by the end. My daughter and I started reading this series when she was in elementary school and now that she is in college we are still laughing along. These are the first books to fly off the library at every school I ever worked at. To paraphrase Maya Angelou, any book that gets children to form a reading habit is a good book.
