- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved these books so much.
They are so much fun - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing! I love this book! It's so adventures in so many different ways!
Jessica Day George is such a talented writer this series is great for boys and girls my brother and I love listening to these books!!! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The best book I ever! Lot’s of excitement humor and challenges for Celi and her freinds
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Just when I wondered how more adventures with the castle could happen, it develops a mobile representative in the form of a ship -- excellent! and I love the ambiguous wish fulfillment of unicorns that turn out to be super aggressive and mean. Where, o where, will it go from here? I think I can guess, but I'd still really like to read that book. Will the series continue? Hard to say, but I'm hopeful.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The 5th book. DO read them in order, they make much more sense. They are wonderful children's books, well written and fresh new stories. I have both the Kindle and Audible versions of these books.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A pretty ending to a fun series (I don't think she intends to go on). Celie is growing up, physically and emotionally - not sure how old she is, but no longer the child she was in the first book. She's beginning to consider boys, though of course there's complications. We get to see Lulath's family, who are just like him only more so. The language - not problems, call those complications as well - are fun. The Ship is finally built - it took some work, including some magical comprehension! - and most of Castle Glower's family, and their gryphons, go out on a short testing trip around the bay...but the Ship has other plans. Another new world, a new set of adventures, a new member of the family (that's pretty clear, right off), and safely home again. And a couple new pets, too. There could be another series, set later, covering some of the consequences of this ending - but this makes a nice, solid ending to the current series. I guess we don't get a Sunday or Monday...
