About this audiobook
The signs are everywhere. China unilaterally claims the entire South China Sea as sovereign territory, then builds artificial islands to bolster its claim. It suddenly activates an air-defense identification zone over the East China Sea, and it threatens to down any aircraft that does not report its position. It builds roads into Indian territory, then redraws the maps to show that it is actually Chinese territory. The People's Republic under President Xi Jinping is quickly becoming The Bully of Asia.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This books covers up to 2017. I believe this is the 5th audiobook I have listened to China, which I can say was far more informative then the others. The author defiantly takes a Western view of China, and does not sensor China’s behavior. I would say this book is a must read if you want to understand China’s past and even future plans for the world.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Overall it was worth listening to this book. I agree with the author that China is going to be the biggest challenge for the US and possibly the world in the next few decades. No doubt that we don’t want a world in which a communist regime is the primary military and economic superpower. However, some of the arguments of the author seemed a bit too one sided and the tone of the book seemed more like what you hear on Fox News. Having said that, the author does have some good points too. Actually most of the substantive issues that the author raises are valid to a good extent. The perspective may be a bit one sided but the issues are real issues and important too. Overall, I recommend listening to it and making up your own mind.
