- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Had to stop. Reader pronounces many of the words incorrectly and has poor inflection in sentences. I couldn’t listen to it.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The description should’ve mentioned that this was based on religion

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book might work better as a written text than as an audiobook. It's difficult to remember those lists of tips without taking some notes, which is easier to do from a written text. The narrator sounds like he's constantly out of breath, presumably because he's speaking too fast. This makes it harder to focus on the content. It does serve as an introduction to the topic with references to further reading.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book was extremely repetitive. The narrator mispronunces and strangely emphasizes a lot of words, which is distracting from the actual message. There are also a few religious tidbits that I absolutely could have done without, but not enough so to entirely ruin the book. It's a good starting point if you don't know much about emotional intelligence, but if you're looking for actual strategies to improve look somewhere else.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This narrator never pauses after a sentence. Talks super fast and it’s hard to keep up. After 10 minutes in, I couldn’t take it anymore. I believe a lot of these reviews are fake.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The book itself might have been interesting had I been able to follow it correctly. While I appreciate Mr. Montanez (I believe that’s the reader’s name) trying to do the best job he could, aside of some unfortunate errors which he had to correct (I guess these audio readings are not edited), too many words were mispronounced, both in accent placement as well as in phrasing emphasis, and this made it quite disconcerting to listen to and very difficult to follow and get through, certainly as a native English speaker myself (American English). If this were a free service then I wouldn’t say much, but you charge for this so I hope you’ll find readers who are better equipped to do the book justice. Thank you for understanding.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Everyone knows that high IQ is no guarantee of success, happiness, or virtue, but until Emotional Intelligence, we could only guess why. Daniel Goleman's brilliant report from the frontiers of psychology and neuroscience offers startling new insight into our "two minds"—the rational and the emotional—and how they together shape our destiny.
Through vivid examples, Goleman delineates the five crucial skills of emotional intelligence, and shows how they determine our success in relationships, work, and even our physical well-being. What emerges is an entirely new way to talk about being smart.
The best news is that "emotional literacy" is not fixed early in life. Every parent, every teacher, every business leader, and everyone interested in a more civil society, has a stake in this compelling vision of human possibility.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Given the subject matter of this book I fail to see that it was a good idea to have what sounds like a computer voice reading program reading it at a kazillion miles an hour. The voice's tone and rhythm is all off and many sentences start and finish in the wrong places. It makes it somewhat exhausting to listen to and, in my case, makes it necessary to listen multiple times to get the info to sink in. If anything listening to it just invokes feelings of frustration! In my opinion find the book in written form and read it, cos the content is useful but the experience of listening to it? .... not so much

I enjoyed learning about emotional intelligence. I am working on personal growth daily so the ideas in this audio resonate with me completely. Thank you!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5very valuable audiobook.its really helpful for my studies .thanks for making this audiobook.
