About this audiobook

“I very much need to be dead.” These are the chilling last words left by a man who had everything to live for but took his own life. His widow, FBI agent Jane Hawk, is determined to find the truth, no matter what. Those arrayed against her are devoted to protecting something important – or terrifying – enough to exterminate anyone in their way. But Jane is driven by a righteous rage they can never comprehend. Because it is born of love.

I was really hooked by the theme of the book. I was excited to follow this FBI agent in her quest to uncover this conspiracy theory about suicides. Really excited. And it kept me focused for 2/3 of the book. However, as the ending was nearing closer I was losing interest for some reason.
For me, the ending was a huge disappointment. It was a shooting party and that pretty much covers it. And to top it off, the story isn't finished. In fact, it seems to continue in the following book. And to be honest, I'm not sure I'll go on with it, despite enjoying the 2/3 of the books and liking Jane Hawk.
