About this audiobook
From USA Today best-selling author T.M. Frazier, Up in Smoke is a standalone. You do not have to hear the rest of the books in the King series to enjoy Smoke's story.
I'm a man without a conscience. I deal in murder and mayhem. I'm the best at what I do. Frankie Helburn is supposed to be an easy job. A means to flush her father out of hiding. Simple.
Except there isn't anything simple about Frankie or the secrets she's keeping. She's stubborn as hell and the sexiest god damn thing I have ever seen, sending dark, dirty animalistic desire coursing through my veins. She's cocaine with legs.
A f--king addiction that makes me question things I've never questioned before. Want things I've never wanted before. I might have her, but she isn't mine to keep. If her father doesn't show his face, she will be mine. To kill.
An Author's Republic audio production.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I loved the story but couldn’t get past the female narrator. The inflections in her voice and the fake male voice was like nails on a chalkboard. This is one where I rather read the book then listen.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The femal voice is so irritating! I love all these books but she kills me.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I went into this book for Troy Duran but couldn't get past the horrible female narrator. Her tone and how she does the male voice is absolutely horrible. I had to quit. I was rolling my eyes the entire time she spoke
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing book, same as all in this series. I love the detailed descriptions, the continuous action, the wonderfully built characters
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The book was good. However, the previous four books were amazing. All of them have good characters with great personalities, solid backstories and personal motivations. The storylines are enjoyable, even featuring the occasional plot twist you don't see coming a mile away.
Up in Smoke holds its own in most regards, but there were a few breaks in continuity that left me befuddled. Not giving too much away, the beginning of the book describes a scene that leads directly to the story arc. However, towards the end of the book, they reference the opening scene but contradict a major detail. Things like that irritate me...it feels like the author forgot the "how" and "why" along the way. Perhaps an insignificant issue for some readers but it significantly reduced my enjoyment. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I'm disappointed! There were so many things I didn't like in this book that I don't know where to start. I was really excited to read Smoke's book, since he was mentioned in previous books, but I'm very, very disappointed. I think I'm going to read the next book in the series, but now I'm afraid, because this was really bad. The narrators were amazing.
