- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is a classic fairy tale, not very much left in the Disney and Pixar world, and I like many of their re-tellings better, since this and other tales weren't as cheery.
The reader was enthusiastic and it made me think of being read to by a very kind big brother, if I'd been lucky enough to have one. He mispronounced several words ( "dowager", "ethereal" ), so I think it would help future readers to read through once and check to be sure (I feel awful for writing this. I have no idea why! The reader just sounded so sweet, I don't want to hurt his feelings) I have often marveled at audio book readers, who never seem to breathe or hiccup, and there was none of that here. I also had not heard this version's ending before, it was interesting.
