      So I've listened to the entire series up to this point and frankly this one was almost as cringe worthy as the "dark" romances in the series. The "hero" was an abusive ass, he denied being interested in domestic discipline and yet from the very beginning he "took her in hand" regarding non sexual issues. Now it is possible to have a healthy D/s or M/s relationship that involves domestic discipline and a 24/7 power exchange but in this case none of that was negotiated. Additionally, there's a punishment scene in the club where the Dom was clearly nt punishing her for the reasons stated and the other Don's allowed it... Just no. These books have been mildly interesting and somewhat accurate at times but they are not for BDSM newbies who wouldn't recognize the very common red flags in them. Additionally, every single one should have had trigger warnings because all of them discuss physical or sexual abuse... Not just the bdsm scenes
