- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just Brilliant. This book is a meditation on love, this is not a love story in the typical sense and yet it is. Sad and aching. Thoroughly enjoyed it. This book reminded me a lot of Barnes,'A Sense of an Ending'. They both have a similar vibe but still very different.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A bit too long and weak for my taste but good representation of a real life love story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Well what to say
A powerfully work
One to think back too and to read again,
He is an amazing writer
Leaving the reader so much to reflect on - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5First three chapters are moving and sad in a way that made me think to my own past...unfortunately the fourth chapter ends up being far too indulgent and the whole piece starts to bore.
Definitely worth reading and I'll certainly remember this book for some time but I came away somewhat dissatisfied - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It is a beautifully written book and read perfectly. Sad, at times funny, it was a strange experience. Despite liking it I could not bond with the characters. Probably the first time that I enjoyed a book without feeling a connection to the dramatis personae.
