First half of the book was great, but then it was just plainly about nothing but writing his musicals and all the problems he had with that.

It's hard to understand why so many people have so much bad things to say about this great creative artist. This book will likely make them angrier. While there is a bit of gossip, that is not the focus of this book, and neither is his personal life. What makes this book fascinating is the insights into what it takes to make a great theatrical production. It's obvious Lloyd-Weber truly loves the theater and his art is what inspires him, contrary to what the nay-sayers want to believe.
