About this audiobook

Lily's quiet life was upturned the day she found out her sister was dead. Now, she only has one thing on her mind-to keep her sister's baby safe . . . at all cost.

A new life, a new job . . . a new world awaits Lily in Paris, Tennessee. She's determined to make it work. Not even the sexy mountain of a man, Goliath, is going to stand in her way. She had no idea why her presence has him so riled, but she really doesn't care what he thinks. She's there for one reason, and one reason only-to protect her nephew. A brooding biker is the last thing on her mind.

As Vice President of the Devil Chaser's MC, Goliath's main focus is the club. He's worked hard to help make it legal and successful, and it's finally paying off. He's committed to the Devil Chaser's, and his brothers know he'll do anything for them. Goliath had no clue what he was getting into the day he matched wits with the sassy spitfire Bishop hired to run the bar. All he knew was he was instantly captivated by her. He had an overwhelming need to protect her from anything or anyone that might cause her harm, including his brothers. Sometimes fate intervenes when we least expect it, and forces collide so fast and so hard, they can't help but ignite.

Good book but the male voice for the audiobook I don’t think was the best choice. It made it a little hard to listen too.

whoa. I totally missed this series. This book was so freaking good. Lily is on the run with her 11 month old nephew after her sister died. Under the impression that baby John is in danger from his father, she heads to DCMC to get help from her cousin Tessa (Inferno). Almost immediately she had a run in with the club's VP, Goliath and he WANTS her. Lily is an extremely smart and strong woman working nights at the MC's bar and taking care of the baby during the day. Money is tight but the club is helping in every way they can. Especially Goliath, he's going out of his way to put himself in her path. The book isn't really an instant romance because she makes him work for it, but the chemistry is like magnets together. Goliath is a complete alpha male, very protective over Lily and John and he's really just a big teddy bear. There's no real violence in this book but the plot twist will have your heart twisted and tears dropping from your eyes.

Ignite by Donna GrantDark Kings #15Donna Grant has created a world that makes her readers want to return, find out what is happening next and then they eagerly await the next book in the series. The only series I have read all of, so far, is The Reapers and having read each and every one of those books I KNOW it well. Sure, some of the other worlds/series/groups might have been mentioned and have impacted The Reapers but it was a group that was easy to follow beginning to end. That said...I did NOT read the other books in the overall series (and looking on Goodreads now I see there are perhaps nearly fifty books total in the overlapping worlds/series). So…* Dark Swords Series: I have not read any of the books in this series so have not a clue what they are about.* Dark Warriors Series: None of those either* Druids Glen Series: Again...not one read by me* Dark Kings: now five of the fifteen* Reapers: all of themNow...it seems, after reading what I have read, this “world” is one populated by beings that are very interesting. They have their own myths and histories that sometimes overlap and create opportunities for interaction. A dragon might sleep for centuries then wake, find a mate and then the two will live happily for centuries together. Or, Druids might supposedly be all gone from the earth...or are they? And, there are light and dark Fae/fairies that impact humans and the rest of the universe(s). I have not a clue about the Warriors and Sword group so have no idea how they might (or might not) fit into what is coming AND...something IS coming. There is a fight that is building and who will be involved and what is at stake is still a bit blurry in my mind. I know that there are “The Others” who are in opposition to the dragons and some others but what their goal is and how they will be thwarted is...a mystery. And so, still unsure what has happened before and wanting to know what will come next and hoping that some of the characters I know already (that have not found their mates) will find a HEA...I will gladly read whatever book comes my way to read in hopes it will lead me to a conclusion for the dragons and all the rest. I mean...wouldn’t it be grand if the dragons sent away all return someday? And there I know I have lost you BECAUSE if you have not read any of these books you won’t have a clue what I am talking about because….This is a series better read from beginning to end (although I have not). This book DID have a short synopsis that I am sure those who have read all books in the series shook their head over and skimmed rapidly and those who have read none of the previous books read and then scratched their heads over wondering what they had missed. And...in the midst of the few mentions of what is happening in this fantasy universe there was a romance. V did meet his mate, Claire, and they had a great romance indeed. They do have a few issues to deal with related to one being a dragon and one being human but otherwise...a great romance to read. I do have a question I hope will be resolved...how will dragons continue if the ones sent away cannot come back or are dead AND if the dragon kings cannot find mates to create progeny for them. Anyway…Did I enjoy this book? YesDo I want to read more in this series? YesDo I wish I had read the series from beginning to end? YesThank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the Arc – This is my honest review. 4 Stars
