About this audiobook
For listeners of Gillian Flynn and Donna Tartt, a dark, propulsive and addictive debut thriller, splashed with all the glitz and glitter of New York City.
They go through both bottles of champagne right there on the High Line, with nothing but the stars over them... They drink and Lavinia tells Louise about all the places they will go together, when they finish their stories, when they are both great writers-to Paris and to Rome and to Trieste...
Lavinia will never go. She is going to die soon.
Louise has nothing. Lavinia has everything. After a chance encounter, the two spiral into an intimate, intense, and possibly toxic friendship. A Talented Mr. Ripley for the digital age, this seductive story takes a classic tale of obsession and makes it irresistibly new.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Could be an interesting story but I couldn’t get far enough to tell, not with the reader shouting in my ear every time she speaks Lavinia’s dialogue. I’d have to ride the volume for all eight hours to keep from getting an earache; no can do. (Tip: It’s possible to perform an overdramatic character without ACTUALLY SHOUTING. If you can’t, the sound dept. needs to correct for it, and they haven’t here.)
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Well written, well read. And I'm a sucker for dark gossip girls stories like these.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5You S?, Here's The Thing - I Just Could Not Get Enough Of You Louise, You #SocialButterfly ?, #SocialCreature... ?
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book was ok, all the characters were weird. One is obsessive the other is straight psychotic. I wanted to stop reading 50 pages in but stuck it out because i heard great things about it. Nothing in this book dropped my jaw in awe or left me wanting more.
