      I really loved this piece of work. As a gender non-conforming SF/F lover, I really felt the void in my readings. Most of the books in my favourite genres avoided the topic of gender totally. Those that has some gender non-conforming characters, felt clumsy written, pushing out-of-role characters with great effort for the sake of diversity. This one was totally different. All of the protagonists were non-binary or other gender non-conforming people with these characteristics of theirs took a central role in each story. The stories were woven around them with natural grace, without sweaty effort. Although some of the plots and twists in the tales seemed obvious to me, these didn't ruin the enjoyment. The lovely descriptions of the struggles of the protagonists with their special situations worth it all be them original stories or a new adaptation of an old fairytale. I can only recommend this book to all fantasy fans.
