About this audiobook

Waiting for the right guy.

Ella Couture didn't mean to save herself. But success runs in the family and Ella, a fiery and self-made interior decorator, never wanted to settle for anything less than a quality man.

But another disappointing breakup has Ella flirting with idea of a meaningless fling-because this whole v-card business has gone on for way too long.

When Ella visits her brother Lance for the weekend, she finds herself all alone with his teammate, Radar. The rugged hockey star is tall, chiseled and gorgeous-and based on his past, he won't get attached.

It's a nice fantasy . . . but Ella isn't the type of girl to sleep with her brother's best friend.

That's what she keeps telling herself, anyway . . .

Live by the code, die by the code.

On the ice, tough guy 'Radar' enforces the code of the game with his fists. And he won't let anyone mess with the team's superstar center, Lance Couture.

Radar might sleep around, but he knows to keep his distance when Lance's sister visits the two roommates at their Boston condo. The code has a rule about family members, after all: they're strictly off-limits.

Not that Radar's worried about breaking that rule-he's already heard an earful about how insane his best bud's younger sis is.

But Lance never said anything about Ella being a cute babe with an adorable laugh.

And he definitely never said anything about how she's finally ready to lose her v-card . . .

But if Radar can't keep his hands off Ella, not only will he stab his best friend in the back-he'll ruin everything he's worked for.

So why can't he get that girl out of his mind?

Contains mature themes.

Love the series but for some reason most of the chapters are cut very short on the audible book

Pretty shallow characters to be honest. Great premise...the blurb encouraged me to listen/read but overall I was disappointed

Really enjoyed 90% of this book but there’s a couple chapters in middle that Elle is childish and aggravating that was just difficult muddle thru. Lance is annoying even if he thinks he’s looking out for his sister, from start to finish he’s self centered, clueless, and so proud immature. Ryan “Radar” he’s the guy you wan covering your back and by your side, Ryan & Elle have an endearing love story, and get their HEA road to it is alittle rocky for the reader. Narrators did a great job.

June Winters scores with FORBIDDEN PUCK. Ella Couture heads to Boston for the weekend to visit her NHL star brother, Lance. She ends up spending more time with his line/roommate, Ryan Ryder. The two know that they need to stay away from each other, but…This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences. This is the first book that I read by June Winters. I enjoyed her writing style and quickly added some of her other books to my “want to read” list. She does a great job with her character development and plot. I like Ella. She is authentic and hard working. Ryan is a great character. He credits his recent hockey success to his chemistry with Lance. That puts an interesting twist into the story. I enjoyed the similarities between Ryan and Ella. For example, Ryan doesn’t know if women are interested in him because he is a hockey star and that Ella doesn’t know if guys just want to date her because she is a virgin, and they want to be her first. I also appreciated, Ryan’s code and Ella’s honesty policy. The other characters in the story added some interesting tension to the plot. Ella’s ex-boyfriend Mathew is a piece of work. Lance’s personality is fascinating. He is a bit self-centered. He does have a good heart though. FORBIDDEN PUCK was well-written. The story flowed well and held my interest from start to finish. I love how the epilogue concluded the story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
