    Fate has other plans. Josie misses the last boat out of town before winter sets in, stranding her in Ponder and putting her dream job at risk. As the holidays approach, Josie and Palmer must grapple with the complications that arise when dreams confront reality, and the Christmas magic that can happen when they put their faith in love.

      A cute chef from Seattle + a good looking Alaskan + a twist of fate + the holidays! I find Alaska a curious and intriguing place so when a highly acclaimed author publishes a book with an Alaskan setting I’m all in!

      I love Debbie Macomber – I’ve been reading her books for years and prefer to think of her as ‘The Mother of Sweet Romance‘. I also love holiday books and binge reading them the entire month of December. As much adoration as I have for Macomber I didn’t have the same adoration for ALASKAN HOLIDAY – this book was just okay and if I’m being honest it lacked depth. Josie and Palmer’s story begins with a botched marriage proposal and I wanted so much more about how their relationship developed. Still a cute, feel-good story and a quick read – perfect for the busy holidays.

      This was a really short, sweet holiday romance. It’s not my favorite Debbie Macomber, who is my go to when it comes to Christmas romances, but I still really enjoyed it.
