About this audiobook

A witch outrunning her past. Five smoldering-hot guardians. And the dark secret that could destroy them all . . .

Blackmoon Bay is a city of monsters. Surviving here means never leaving home without a sharp stake. It means keeping secrets, even from friends. And unless I want the Hunters finding me again, it means my witchcraft stays on permanent lockdown.

Good policy-until the night I accidentally resurrect a dead girl, rekindling my magic and drawing the Bay's most dangerous men to my doorstep.

Asher, the bad-boy incubus. Darius, the cunning, oh-so-sexy vampire. Emilio, the wolf shifter with a big heart and a treacherous past. Ronan, the only demon I trust with my soul. And Death himself, bound to my magic for reasons I don't understand.

Together they've sworn to protect me from the evil out there, but it's not the evil out there I'm worried about.

A shadow lurks inside me, black and deadly as a bomb.

And I'm pretty sure my magical mishap just lit the fuse.

I'm Gray Desario. Witch. Survivor. Occasional bringer of chaos. And tonight? The darkness is coming . . .

Contains mature themes.

The woman narrator is good, the male narrator is off. His voice us too slow and sounds 70 professor in all accents. Ruins the image in your head...well Rolan voice is OK. Both Spanish accents are a little cringe like. The book, did I miss another series? I feel like I missed something. Was listening to Witches and monsters and realised I missed this series...but now thinking I missed another. Anyway plot is good, I felt the pain or the characters, yet to feel the happiness...just can't feel their happy moments. Could be the switch of the narrators....lol an example of the difference is how the woman narrator says the wolf shifters name is different to how the guys says it.

I really enjoyed this whole series. The only reason I didn’t give 4 stars is because the audiobook randomly cuts in and out in every single chapter. You can’t even rewind to listen to the part you missed. Seems like a glitch. I’d recommend reading the ebook instead so you don’t miss essential information.

The series starts slow… it was hard to keep my attention but eventually it picked up and got better. I listened the audiobook.. The female voice is great.. she nails all the accents of the male characters and their demeanor. The male narrator is lacking. He sounds like an old man and it’s hard to get into what he’s saying. I will continue the series in hopes that make characters get better…

So I listened to the audio book on this. I have to say the female narrator was great. Her accents and male voices were spot on. The male narrator however I didn’t care for. He wasn’t as clear on his portrayals of the characters (the accents, demeanor, ext) like the female narrator so I became confused at times who was speaking. I just didn’t care for his narration. As for the story. It was alright. It was a little slow and I honestly almost forgot the plot after not listening to it for a day, which is never a good sign. I will prob continue the series but I might just take a little break from it and get something a little more engaging.
