A young immigrant from Laos struggles to fit in with American culture. See Ly left his parents behind in a Thai refugee camp and moved to the United States to live with his brother. When See steps up to defend another immigrant student from being bullied, he is suspended from school. He learns that it is not okay to fight but that his willingness to defend a peer from a school bully is to be admired. See's bravery connects him with the other students.
