About this audiobook
From #1 Bestselling author Morgan Rice comes a sweeping epic fantasy series: Rise of Dragons (Kings and Sorcerers—Book 1).
Kyra, a 15 year old girl who dreams of following in her father’s footsteps and becoming a famed warrior, is a finer archer than all the others. As she grapples to understand her skills, her mysterious inner power, and what secret is being kept from her about her birth, she comes to realize that she is different than the others, and that hers is a special destiny.
But her people live under the thumb of oppressive noblemen, and when she comes of age and the local lord comes for her, her father weds her off to save her. Kyra, though, refuses, and she journeys out on her own, into the dangerous wood—where she encounters a wounded dragon and ignites a series of events that will change the course of the kingdom forever.
15 year old Alec, meanwhile, sacrifices for his brother, taking his place in the draft, and is carted off to The Flames, a wall of flames a hundred feet high that keeps back the army of Trolls to the north. On the other side of the kingdom, Merk, a mercenary striving to leave behind his dark past, quests through the wood to become a Watcher of the Towers and help guard the Sword of Fire, the magical source of the kingdom’s power. But the Trolls want the Sword, too—and they have other plans, preparing for a massive invasion that could destroy the kingdoms forever.
With its strong atmosphere and complex characters, Rise of Dragons is a sweeping saga of knights and warriors, of kings and lords, of honor and valor, of magic, destiny, monsters and dragons. It is a story of love and broken hearts, of deception, of ambition and betrayal. It is fantasy at its finest, inviting us into a world that will live with us forever, one that will appeal to all ages and genders.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this book, however, I didn’t like the abrupt ending at a crucial moment....(that’s our cue to buy book 2). ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was quickly drawn in by the enchantment of this storyline. I cannot wait to hear the next book to find out what happens with the girl who will free her people from the tyrant rulers who have forced themselves into the lands.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Pretty shallow. Predictable plots and characters. Main character comes across entitled and privileged but she is forgiven under the guise of being a hero. Meh…
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Kyra & Duncan, a wonderful father, Daughter combination.. beautifully written, filled with tension, suspense, excitement. A coming of age story. Set in a fantasy world. I can't wait for book 2
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great fantasy book. I couldn't stop listening! I'm going to read the next I'm the series now
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The descriptions were so good and colorful, I felt I was there
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Morgan Rice are a pleasure to read! I love them all
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a story and narration. I'm thrilled and in awe!! For a while I thought it was like game of thrones, It does have a few overlapse but it's definitely different. And equally amazing. I could visualise every scene, feel every emotion that Keira was feeling. And the scenes with dragon, goodness, they were breath taking. I don't think I can stop until I finish this whole series.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Only partway in. So far it's ok. I've read in print some of Morgan's books so I was prepared for a lot of redundancy. I was really excited about the narrator's voice when I first heard it. But soon the sing- song notes to his voice and the always mysterious/ethereal tone ruined it for me. Even when he's just reading the non- voice parts, it would be so much better if he read it normally. We'll see if it gets better.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This author needs an editor. Her knowledge of fighting, basic human abilities ( A human cannot walk In an evening, through a blizzard, faster than a horse can go in a day). There are a few good ideas and some interesting characters but they are mangled by the author's lack of skill and logic in her story and character development. I couldn't finish it because I stopped caring about what came next.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was the beginning of this realm of or people and the power of evils that seeks to take over the country and the people! They fight their way, one enemy, after the other! Until they gain step by step!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5PLEASE listen to this series! I promise you won’t regret it! It captures your attention from the very first word in the first book all the way to the very last word of the 6th and last book. Morgan Rice is an ASTONISHING author whom you can tell is very passionate about her stories. There is great detail and also amazing wisdom in every book. You will always gain something from the book and there is so much action in every chapter. It’ll have you crying, laughing, angry, and passionate with every word. This is the 4th series I’ve listened to by Morgan rice and I have yet to be disappointed. If you love action, valor, vengeance on evil, honor, love, and wisdom, you’ll love this awesome series. Phenomenal job Morgan Rice yet again on your tremendous writing skills.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Enjoyed it but parts were too predictable and parts were illogical.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent characters, and story line. Highly charged and emotional writing pulls you into the story leaving you wanting more. Looking forward to the next book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5it kept me captivated waiting for the next thrilling situation to happend i just love it WOW!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It became a bit pathetic when the moral questions turned again and again to killing those who mean her harm.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was exactly my type of fantasy, but the events seem to always be resolved by deus ex machina. Also, it’s a bit repetitive with the “i knew my life would change forever” and “ i was going to die”.
I’m still excited about reading the next in the series though. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was a really good story. Classic hero Finding themselves and their power story. Loved every part

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good book. Couple parts little predictable. No way to avoid that as the hero has to do great things to be considered a hero. Hope to find second one on audiobook too.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this reading. It’s an audiobook you can listen in a single afternoon and it was a pleasant surprise. Keep up the good work!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book! It’d be even better if all the books in the series were audiobooks available on Scribd. That’s the only downfall to Scribd, very limited access to audiobooks.
