About this audiobook
Five well-bred sisters, one sensational scandal. Now the Duke of Marymount’s daughter Ida is about to find love in the most unconventional way . . .
It was easy for society to overlook Lady Ida Howlett; they found her bookish, opinionated, and off the marriage mart. But little did they know that behind a calm exterior beats the heart of an adventuress, one who, determined to discover her runaway sister’s whereabouts, steals a carriage and sets off on a daring mission. Then she discovers she’s not alone! Bennett, Lord Carson, is inside, and he refuses to leave.
Lord Carson’s plans had always been to find a soft, gentle wife who would run his home and raise his children. Still, he makes a bargain with Ida—he won’t desert her during her mad adventure. He’ll make sure she’s safe, and then find a suitable lady to fall in love with. But when rules (and garments) become discarded during this long, intimate journey, it’s soon clear that this surprisingly daring lady is the woman he’s needed all along.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book SO MUCH. I absolutely recommend it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The narrator was awful. Her voices of the characters was wildly inconsistent. At times she would give young beautiful characters older, ugly voices.
Not the authors best work. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Loved this book. My first by the author. Sweet story. Liked the hedgehog lol
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good book, I love it and enjoyed that both the characters were strong, confident characters. A very good read ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My favourite book in the series so far. Loved Ida and the chemistry! Such a good read!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lady Ida Howlett steals a carriage in order to run off and find her missing sister. Unfortunately she unwittingly kidnaps Lord Carson who has found the carriage a nice place to rest after a bit of drinking. Now Ida is the clever sister, bookish and opinionated and her parents have tried to marry Bennett to two of her sisters who fell in love with other men (Bennett's brother and friend). Ida isn't turning around, and Bennett feels obliged to continue the journey with her to try and keep her out of trouble...
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Historical roadtrip romance FTW!I loved Ida and Bennett's story--finally, one of the duke's daughters actually falls in love with Bennett ;) Their banter was great--"hedgehog" and "leopard" LOL--and the forced proximity of their rescue mission felt spot-on for both of them (plus was a whole lot of fun...) Bennett being able to see and appreciate Ida for her Ida-ness was wonderful, and seeing the relationships that both of them had with their families (the families that count, anyway) was wonderful. The reasons why they can't be together aren't the strongest--initially they makes sense, but the longer they cling to them the weaker they seem--but the way they overcame their obstacles was lovely, and that made all the difference. You don't have to have read the other two books to appreciate this one (confession--still haven't read Eleanor's book!), but if you have, then the "finally falls in love with Bennett" comment will make a lot more sense...Two more Howell sisters to go--can't wait!Rating: 4 stars / A-I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
