Summary

Sally:

I left behind my life to start over. My successful career as a country music singer, friends and family, everything. All to get away from my abusive, obsessive ex.

So what if I'm lonely? So what if I miss singing and sequins? I'm safe, and that's what matters.

But the big biker with the blue eyes has other ideas. He makes me laugh and breathless all at the same time. He makes me want more. But it's not safe. Not for either one of us.

Donahue:

She's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen — and that's before I ever heard her sing. Her voice cuts through the chatter, through the noise. Straight through to the emptiness inside me.

Everyone thinks I'm happy-go-lucky, but she's different. She sees right through me. And as much as I want her underneath me, tangled in my sheets, I want her beside me just as badly.

She needs saving. She's afraid to let me in. But what she doesn't know is that I need saving, too. And she's just the woman to do it.
