About this audiobook

In a land forever at war, meeting women is the last thing they can think about, so what's a lonely alpha warrior to do?

Sorin of Firewall lives in a land forever at war. In fact, the Starian men are so busy fighting, their marriage ceremony has been reduced to an alpha male “will of the gods” event where they simply pick a woman out of a lineup and claim her as a wife. With women becoming scarce, it’s necessary to trade the offworld Divinity Corporation for brides. Duty-bound to attend the ceremony, he has no intention of picking a bride, let alone one from another dimension. That is, until he sees Lilith, the bewitching woman sent by the gods to reward—or punish?—him.

When Lilith, a Divinity Corporation data analyst, awakes in an alternate dimension, she’s appalled to find herself the bride of an alpha alien warrior. But Sorin of Firewall is nothing like she imagined — and his touch makes her feel things she never thought possible… (Bookbub)

DNF just couldn’t connect or like the heroine. H is written fairly consistent but h character changes too often and she is just generally unlikable and extremely intolerant for a person that is suppose to have traveled and been exposed to many different cultures. Lilith is a researcher for explores other universes and dimensions (think Star Trek). Yet unlike those of the s.s enterprise Lilith just can’t seem to understand the very simple culture of this dimension and with all her smarts can’t seem to ask questions. This just makes no sense. Lilith is also very fond of calling other women who are considered respectable in the culture she is now living in “whores”. H explains women choice Lilith says oh “whores”...

Can't say I thought much of the heroine, she was annoying and whiney. The fact that the local women encourage spreading your legs to please your man, may be the custom in an alien world, but is almost insulting. And then there's the conflicting emotions, which ping pongs back and forth it almost gives you whiplash.
