About this audiobook
Imagine being alongside one of the greatest bands in the history of rock, touring the globe, and being there as they perform at some of the best and biggest music venues in the world. Peter Hince didn't have to imagine. For more than a decade, he lived a life that other people can only dream of as he worked with Queen as the head of their road crew.
In this intimate and affectionate book, Peter recalls the highlights of his years with the band. He was with Freddie when he composed "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"; he was responsible for making sure that Freddie's stage performances went without a hitch. He was often there to witness his famed tantrums and was also party to the sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll that are invariably part of life on the road with a band. This inside look at Queen and Freddie Mercury shows the real-life ups and downs of one of the most famed bands of all time and is a must-listen for any music fan.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was in the crowd at some of the gigs and a devoted follower of Queen. However I would have enjoyed this book even if I’d never heard of Freddy Mercury. It’s an honest and fascinating insight into the life of a roadie and the industry that facilitates live music.
Very well written and read, highly recommended. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great stories. Fun, entertaining, engaging. Told with humor, fondness and reverent respect.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good audible read. Neat to hear from a friend/employee angle. There were some very dedicated people in Queen’s (Freddie) life and maybe some not so much. Listened 2times now. Each time I hear a little detail I hadn’t heard before.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Absolutely, horrible. I have read quite a few Queen bios and this was by far the worst. His stories are boring and leave out the most important aspects of the band's history. At the end, he sounded quite jaded, although he claims he isn't. I'd pass this one up if I were you.
