About this audiobook
In a town like Chugwater, Wyoming, you know who your friends are, who your enemies are, and who your kill-crazy maniacs are. For Duff MacCallister, the last category belongs to Johnny Taylor and his gang. Duff has wrestled with this polecat before, and knows that his bite is worse than his smell. But when Taylor's gang tries to rob a bank-and Duff manages to shoot one and arrest Taylor's brother-the outraged outlaw raises a stink straight out of hell. First, he begins to randomly slaughter innocent townsfolk one by one. Then, he leaves a note on the bodies warning: "We will kill more of your citizens if you do not let my brother go." Now, he's kidnapped a woman as bait-lighting a fuse under Duff MacCallister that's bound to ignite the biggest, bloodiest showdown in Chugwater history . . .

Narrators delivery poor. To the point non of the family could listen further1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/54th book in this series I've listen to. The 1st was good, the 2nd about 1/4 of the book told what happened in the 1st book, the 3rd, 1/2 the book retold the 1st and 2nd book. Now the 4th most of the book just retells or reuses lines from the other books. To bad to the writer has a good series and don't need to repeat all the time.

JohnstonePages: 368Year: 2014Publisher: PinnacleMy rating: 5 out of 5 stars.Emile is the younger brother of Johnny who ran a gang of cutthroats, men who will kill without a pause. Now Emile is behind bars thanks to Duff MacCallister who was in the bank when Johnny and his gang robbed, killed and ran. Emile was shot by Duff. He threatens Duff and the town with his brothers’ revenge if they don’t let him go.Johnny comes up with several different plans and attempts to get Emile out before he hangs, but what Johnny doesn’t count on is Duff. Johnny also doesn’t count on those who will rise up and protect others and keep Emile in jail. Duff takes on a mean man with a long-range gun with a scope, one in which the victim never hears the shot before the bullet strikes!A romance is growing between Duff and Meaghan that makes reading the story more enjoyable. Duff once lived in Scotland, raising angus beef which he is now doing successfully in Wyoming. Meaghan is a seamstress but also part owner of the Angus beeves on Sky Meadow ranch which Duff began years prior. Elmer is Duff’s foreman but more than that he is a friend, and what is fun to learn his more about Elmer’s shady past which gets revealed a little at a time.Kill Crazy is an exciting tale that keep readers turning pages. Those who are or aren’t familiar with Duff’s past and present will still enjoy the adventure that awaits in the pages!Note: The opinions shared in this review are solely my responsibility.
