About this audiobook

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Whether you read these one at a time, as the original form first posted on Twitter or barrel through several at once, I am sure you will find something to resonate with you. They and the illustrations by fellow Twitter lover Jonny Sun are marvelous, touching and inspiring all at once. Without a doubt, it will make a perfect holiday gift for anyone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Sneak a copy to a friend, a cop, a nurse/aide, retail clerk, mother/father of children at home, chronic illness sufferer, teenager, and absolutely everyone whether you know them or not! And keep one at your bedside to help you remember how wonderful you are!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book will make you so stupidly happy, whether you take it two pages per day or read through it all at once. Lin-Manuel Miranda's shining optimism bleeds off the pages, complimented by Jonny Sun's wonderful illustrations.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5He is too pure for this world. This book is something I need to own and then refer to when I need a pick-me-up.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a collection of aphorisms from Lin-Manuel Miranda's Twitter feed. Lots of little sayings to cheer you on your way in the morning or calm you down for a good nigh's rest.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a quick-to-read book with short poetry. The left hand page gave the morning cheer, while the right hand page gave the nighttime cheer. I didn't really find the book inspirational as much as I did just cute. I loved the drawings, but I would have rather had them in a book I could more easily color. I liked that the book began and ended with gratitude. Sometimes that is so easy to overlook.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Morning and night prayer from Lin-Manuel
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Lin-Manuel Miranda is a wellspring of generosity and creativity (including the musical, “Hamilton”) who tweets supportive messages morning and night. He has collected a couple hundred of them into this book, illustrated by Johnny Sun.Wow I regret sounding negative about what is a lovely and supportive thing, but these are better on Twitter. Side by side here in a book, they’re too similar morning/night, and the illustrations overpower the messages and annoy me. But go follow him on Twitter!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5These are collected tweets of Lin-Manuel Miranda. They are a mixed lot, some were very profound and struck a chord with me, others were just OK. I listened to this and although the author read it. I think it would be better read. On audio they all seemed to just run into each other
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Remarkable! Compilations of tweets, be they inspirational or humorous, are rarely effective, but this one shines. Lin-Manuel Miranda's subtle wit and authentic charm make for a series of affirmations and aphorisms that are as powerful en masse as individually. Irresistible. He confesses early on that these messages are in many ways the kind of thing he wanted to read for himself, and that lends them a truth that transcends any hint of preciousness. They manage to be profound without being heavy, affirming without being preachy. Jonny Sun's wonderful drawings are the perfect accompaniment -- the same light touch, the same gentle wit, but with Sun's signature perspective, a unique way of looking at the world. This is a book that bears re-reading, a book that is a perfect gift as well as a perfect bedside companion. Remarkable.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What a good book to read during Quarantine. I no longer have a Twitter account, but I remember having Lin-Manuel Miranda's tweets sent to my phone and they always seemed to make me smile. Now there's a book form with them in it!
I only read two pages a day or so (when I remembered to pick it up from my nightstand), not everything matched up to maybe what I was feeling that day, but nonetheless, they were still nice little pick ups. This is a cute little book for those who need a few smiles. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I read it through in 2 or 3 sittings. The first time I sat and read a big chunk was because I had just finished reading another book that left a very heavy feeling in me. So, reading many of these 'verses' in one go just helped me feel back to my normal level of lightness. His words really are so uplifting, even though expressed in so few words. The simple images also do add a lot to the words. I see myself returning to this book many times. Sometimes to just read a page or two, or just to read chunks at a time because I need the positivity of his words to just flow in and around me.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Short book with positive reinforcement affirmations to read every day or whenever you need some encouragement. #GmorningGnightLittlePepTalksForMeAndYou #LinManuelMiranda
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the perfect balm for our current situation. It is a compilation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Gmorning & Gnight tweets. I listened to the audiobook so I missed out on the illustrations, but Miranda reads it himself so of course it was delightful. I listened to just a few pep talks at a time so I could enjoy it for as long as possible. “The world changes, the ground shifts. We still make plans. We still find gifts.”
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was an amazing collection of some of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Gmorning and Gnight tweets. They were all really sweet and beautiful and very uplifting.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Emotional bookend twitters to pull you up and ease you down. Some are simple pep tweets, some are multum in parvo.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A collection of Miranda's inspirational morning and evening Twitter greetings. These little reminders are often clever, sweet, funny, and touching. Sun's illustrations have a Shel Silverstein feel. I've been reading these at the rate of one or two a day for months (when I remembered), and finally reached the end of the book, and was sad. I'll probably keep this near my bed for when I need an uplifting thought.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I read this in one sitting and it made my week, honestly.
