About this audiobook
Grave witch Alex Craft can speak to the dead, and that makes her a dangerous enemy for anyone with something to hide . . .
Alex is still trying to come to terms with her changing powers and her growing ties to Faerie when a case she'd rather avoid falls right into her lap. A fae prince desperately needs Alex to investigate a politically sensitive murder. She reluctantly agrees to the case, taking FIB agent Falin Andrews along as her backup.
But as Alex begins to delve into the mystery, she realizes that the intricate web of alliances and intrigue in the Faerie courts is strained to its limits. War is about to break out, one that threatens to spill over into the mortal realm. This murder is tied right to the center of centuries-old arcane unrest, and if Alex isn't careful she may follow the twisting path ahead of her right into her grave end.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Grave Destiny is a turning point in the Alex Craft series and I absolutely enjoyed it! This story was a thrilling read indeed as Alex’s services were engaged by two different sources in order to investigate the most inexplicable murder that she has yet to encounter. To say that everyone was stumped would have been an understatement! What really made it imperative that this mystery was solved as quickly as possible were the political implications that would arise if word was to get out about who the victims were, or rather what court they were from. Alex and her companions were pushed to their max as they worked on a very tight timeline to figure out what was happening all while trying to make sure they themselves stayed alive.Alex’s grave witch magic has always been exciting to read about and with the addition of her recently discovered truth about her heritage, well that just added an entirely new skill set to the mix. In Grave Destiny, Alex was spending way more time that she was comfortable in the Faerie courts, where her grave magic was mostly inaccessible to her, while there she would encounter situations that would force her to try and use her newly found but unreliable skills and that just kept my eyes glued to the pages! There were also many twists and turns as Alex desperately tried to find the missing pieces of the puzzle before it was too late. There was one MAJOR event that occurred in this book that had me omg-ing and I promise you that nothing is ever going to be the same in this series. I am eagerly anticipating the next installment, and I am SO excited to see where it goes!!!This review is based on a complimentary book I received from Penguin Random House. It is an honest and voluntary review. The complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m truly surprised these books were not already made into a Netflix series. I enjoyed immensely every single book and I’m sorry that there is only 6 so far. I feel a little addicted
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Alex's next case comes when Prince Dugan from the Shadow court comes and asks her to investigate a murder. She has recently learned that she was betrothed to Prince Dugan at birth. Needless to say, she isn't okay with that. Her lovelife is complicated enough without throwing in a fiance.Adding to the complication is that she is currently an independent fae under the authority of the Winter Queen. In fact she is under the close supervision of Falin Andrews who is the Winter Queen's Knight and assassin. Falin was also her lover for a time but, because he is under oath to obey the Winter Queen, he told Alex that she should not trust him. Falin appears shortly after Dugan because Dugan doesn't have the Queen's permission to hire Alex or even be in Nekros City. When Alex learns that Dugan wants her to investigate the death of one of his court who was found dead in the bedroom of a member of the Winter Court who is also dead, Alex is interested - especially in the paycheck since things have been tight for her private investigation agency.Falin, Dugan and Alex team up with lots of suspicion between the men to investigate. This drops Alex in the middle of Fairie and way too close to the Winter Queen. They all soon realize that someone is trying to start a war. Faerie with its seven courts is already out of balance. The Shadow Court is declining, Winter is destabilizing under a queen who may be going insane, and every fae that is breathing is plotting something. Meanwhile, Alex is also looking for a teacher to help her learn about her talent for planeweaving but is having little luck. The only planeweavers she knows about are in a court she can't access. She does begin to get some training when the Mender calls in the favor that he granted to her in an earlier book. He wants to collect the souls in Faerie which doesn't connect to the Land of the Dead or the realm of the collectors. He teaches her more about her powers than anyone else has been able to teach her. This story was filled with action, danger, fae plots, and romantic entanglements. I really like Alex and love finding out more about her. While this book does not end on a cliffhanger, there are certainly questions about Alex's powers and her future that I would like answers for.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Probably one of the strongest entries in this series; it felt tightly plotted, well paced and clearly part of a larger series arc. Not all the previous books, even when they were good, felt like they were part of a larger story. Most of Grave Destiny takes place in Fairy, which truthfully, I don't find nearly as compelling as the mortal realm, where Alex is a grave witch (able to talk to the dead through their shades). Alex's life is divided between her mortal witch existence, and her fae existence in Fairy, which she's only becoming reconciled to. My personal preference is for the mortal side, where I find her relationships more interesting, but Price managed to keep me invested in this story anyway. Major character development took place at the end; it will be interesting to see where Price goes with it, as it's clear she's got a plan for these characters. Hopefully I won't have to wait as long for the next book to find out what that plan is.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5GRAVE DESTINY is up there with my favorite installments of the series. GRAVE DESTINY is big on Faerie. Not only does it take place in Faerie for a majority of the story, but we learn a lot more about faerie and the people that inhabit it. There are a lot of twists involved as well as mystery. Alex continues to learn more about her powers and her place in Faerie. I enjoyed the action, I enjoyed the characters and I enjoyed the storyline. A few thoughts on the men in this series. Prince Dugan—of the shadow realm— plays a pretty big part in GRAVE DESTINY and I have to say that I like him a whole lot. I wouldn't be sad if he ended up being a real contender for Alex's heart. We don't see much of Death in GRAVE DESTINY, so if you're a Death fan, you will be disappointed. And then there's Falin. I never disliked him and can see him and Alex ending up together. The events in GRAVE DESTINY definitely made that a possibility.I read on one review that this might be the last book of the series and I really hope that it's a horrible rumor because I don't feel like Alex's story is over. I really want to explore more of her world and watch her get her HEA. * This book was provided free of charge from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
