About this audiobook
The son of a notorious outlaw, Roan Penny yearns to make his life count . . . but heroism comes with a price. Left badly injured, only the kindness of a gentle stranger can save him. He longs to be with the captivating beauty-his savior, his Texas star, his Marley Rose McClain-but he knows he'd bring her nothing but trouble.
If only he could convince his heart of that.
Marley's lived a charmed life, and she's determined to spend the rest of her days at her quiet hero's side . . . but she isn't what she seems. A life-long secret threatens to destroy everything she knows-and everything she could hope to be. As dangerous men threaten to pull her back into the shadows, a desperate Roan must ride hell-bent for leather to save the other half of his heart . . . before he can lose her light for good.
Linda Broday
Linda Broday is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of over thirty historical western romance novels and short stories. A third generation Texan, she finds lots of inspiration for her fictional cowboys on the West Texas short grass plains. She grew up watching TV westerns and fell in love with the strong men and women who settled this wild country. Those TV episodes, visits to museums, and countless books taught her the values, the strength it took to survive and the tremendous will to keep going when things got tough. On a still day, she swears she can often hear the voices of ancestors whispering in the wind. Writing is her passion and drives her to keep penning stories that focus heavily on children and family. In her family, she's the storyteller, the one who records ancestral history. Linda comes from a long line of poor but prideful people and she's happy with that. It's her legacy.

Reviews for To Catch a Texas Star

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Broday creates the perfect blend of romance, family, and adventure. Another fun book in her Texas Heroes Series. To Catch a Texas Star follows Marley Rose and Roan’s story. You may remember Marley Rose as the cute little girl from Duel’s story, but she’s all grown up now. After rescuing Roan, they’re thrown into a whirlwind of love and danger. A group of bandits are wrecking havoc on the towns, from killing innocent people to stealing Duel’s cattle. One of them is connected to Marley’s past and will stop at nothing to have her. With the help of Duel and his ranch hands, Roan fights to keep Marley safe and get justice for those (especially his friend) they hurt. One thing I love about Boday’s writing is how easy it is to connect to the characters. I loved both Marley Rose and Roan. Duel and Jessie also play important roles in this book and I loved reconnecting with them too, but this could be read as a stand-alone and still be enjoyable.ARC provided for honest feedback.
