About this audiobook
The Wood Beyond the World is a fantasy novel by William Morris, perhaps the first modern fantasy writer to unite an imaginary world with the element of the supernatural, and thus the precursor of much of present-day fantasy literature.
The story deals with the life of Golden Walter who is betrayed by his wife and is forced to flee his own country. On his new journey he meets a captive maiden who is to be rescued by an enchantress and it is the beginning of their magical adventure together.

William Morris
William Morris has worked on international tax policy matters in the public and private sectors for over twenty years. He is also a member of the clergy team at St Martin-in-the-Fields, having been ordained a priest in the Church of England in 2010. He has degrees in history, law and theology, and is the author of 'Where is God at Work?'
