- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The ratings about this series made it out to be something spectacular. So I felt a bit dissapointed. The books are not bad in any way, but not what I hoped for. Something is missing to make them great, still they are good and an easy listen. Holds quite a bit of really good gasp moments.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Entertaining story with a satisfying happy-ish ending. But the narrator didn't seem to grasp the mood of the setting for some of the characters. One in particular always sounded excited regardless of what was going on around him... even the happiest person is going to sound down, angry, or something other than bubbly when his village has been slaughtered and his best friend is murdered.
There are a few places where there's some background noise... like kids or something. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good series, kept me hooked, finishing it back to back.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fantastic story. Well written and orated. Left me wishing for more.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Same impressions as the first 2 books. Has a YA feel from the vocabulary and the plot. The ending was satisfying.
