About this audiobook

Carter isn't sure what to call his two alien protectors. Friends? Boyfriends? Mates?

Or merely indiscriminate lovers with sexy purrs and tangling tails?

He would be lost without them, he knows that. When their home is invaded by a dangerous new kind of alien slaver, they strike out into the jungle. He depends on them for food, protection, a direction to walk in. He's helpless even for shelter and warmth.

Thankfully, his alien lovers seem devoted, but why? Carter wishes he knew their names or anything else. Like whether the attachment he's feeling is returned.

With aliens, you can't make assumptions.

Wouldn't it be nice if he could just ask?

Contains mature themes.

I didn't realize this was the second book in a series, until after I finished it and looked it up. I did wonder about the very abrupt start and end of the book. But it was a fun read. I loved the main characters and their interaction was fun. The switches between perspective did leave me wondering about what the others thought at certain times, like Carter's first reactions to seeing signs of the alien civilization, which I missed because it was described from someone else's p.o.v. But all in all, I enjoyed it a lot and will definitely be checking around for the other books in the series.

I freaking love this narrator! This second book great, better than the first in my opinion.
