3 stars because Stephen Dexter narrated minimal amount of the book. Female voice actor narrated too much of it. Book was ok

If I never hear the phrase 'upper east side' again, it'll be too soon.

I am so torn because there is a lot to like about this series, but the level of frustration I have with all the nonsensical subterfuge and frivolous miscommunications, and reductive tropes about class and status are so ridiculous.

Nathalie has a multimillion-dollar book deal but is still glamored by cocktail dresses. One minute she has all this backbone, then the next, she's at cocktail parties of people who have plotted to 'destroy' her by way of the most simplistic peer pressure.

There are so many books in this series, and I pray they get better, but this is pretty bad, and I am so confused about why there is so much wasted prose to get not very far plot-wise.

This book is a hot mess of a story. Pass.

Lots of holes in this recording on Scribd which is annoying as you’re trying to follow the story.

I liked this book better than the first as I was intrigued to see where things went between Luis, Natalie and Penn. I would have liked more sexual tension and witty banter but there was low level drama that kept me interested enough to finish the book.

Without going into details, I thought there was a thing call “bro code” I got tired of Natalie stupidities, I have found myself skipping over a few chapters when it was all about Natalie and her “new relationship” it was too close for comfort. It reminded me of “Gossip girl” tv show, even though the writing went to the left am looking forward to the 3rd installment and hopefully it will be a wrap of everything
