About this audiobook
Despite being part of one of the most mobile societies in history, it's easy for us to feel stuck where we are. Whether because of a recent move or because we're still in the exact same place we've been for years, many of us just aren't where we thought we'd be or doing what we thought we'd be doing. Sometimes we may wonder if God knows what he's doing. How can this be part of his plan? With enthusiasm and contagious joy, Shauna Pilgreen assures readers that, yes, God does have a plan and a purpose for them--right where they are. In fact, he sent them there. She invites readers to "live sent," showing them how to see their surroundings with fresh eyes and renewed energy. Weaving her own remarkable story with biblical habits readers can incorporate into their daily routines, Pilgreen equips us to reach out into our communities with God's love, knowing that our efforts are never in vain.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was fabulous! I loved the practical tips for living sent.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It’s easy to feel stuck in the mundanity of day-to-day living and miss the opportunities each day presents. Or at least, that’s true for me. In Love Where You Live: How to Live Sent in the Place You Call Home, however, Shauna Pilgreen invites readers to reorient their perspective and see how God can work in place and community—and use His people to do so.Throughout her book, Pilgreen shares stories from her family’s experience in San Francisco and expounds on the idea of “living sent.” She makes sure to include biblical principles, as well as practical tips, making Love Where You Live a resonating read. Now, while every reader will not (and probably should not) make the same choice to move and live as the Pilgreens, Love Where You Live proves thought-provoking nonetheless. Life should be lived with intentionality and with God’s purposes in mind.I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Synopsis: See your surroundings with fresh eyes and renewed energy. Through her personal experience and stories of God's redemptive work in communities and neighborhoods, Shauna Pilgreen gives readers the skills and guidance they need to live out the gospel in the places they call home.
My Thoughts: This book is a good reminder that we all need to get out of our comfort zones. The author reminds us that when we do get too comfortable we sometimes tend to get dissatisfied with life, and we tend to stop thinking about others. We also lose our focus on what God has for us.
In "Loving Where You Live" the author teaches us to step out of that comfort zone, learn your neighborhood and your neighbors. In doing this you will learn that where you are is a great place to be; that there is a purpose and a reason to be where you are.
This was an interesting book that the reader can learn from.
