About this audiobook
From the moment she met Christopher Singer, he seemed to get under her skin like no one else could and made her feel things she hadn't in a long time. Something she will not allow. Only one person has gotten past Stevie's layers. But even Jaymerson doesn't know the full truth about the darkness and demons which haunt Stevie's past . . . the ones she has pushed far down. She wants to ignore every detail of the devastating loss and horrifying night that almost took her life.
When an incident brings Stevie and Chris back together in the same town, their past and present crash into a struggle of grief and horrendous tragedy.
Stevie needs to decide: handle the pain and break every rule she has, which might shatter her for good or choose to protect herself and run from it all . . .

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was surprisingly good. It's not often you find a book so sexy and dirty with a well thought out and executed plot. I enjoyed the characters, though the author did a good job and made me dislike some, which I think was the point. The spice was exciting and well written. I adore Alex Volkov! The narrators were excellent. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A grumpy/sunshine revenge plot that ends with a HEA. As with any book, please check all TW/CW yourself.Alex has a tragic back story, is hot AF, rich, brilliant, and has a plan to bring down the person responsible for his tragic back story. His best friend, Josh goes away and asks him to watch over his sister Ava (which is spelled Ava and Ave in the books and gets annoying). Ava is sunshine personified. She's a photography grad student at Thayer University (where both Alex and Josh attended as well) and has her eyes set on a special fellowship. She also has a tragic backstory that plays a big part in her development. There's a double twist to this story - one you see coming from a mile away. The other is more subtle and I applaud Huang for keeping it that way until the end; it's a good one.On the spice scale, I'd give this 2 chili peppers. It's hot but not read one-handed hot.Recommend for 18+ readers due to graphic violence, sex, and other potential triggers. Reader responsibility!**All thoughts and opinions are my own.
