Last Of The Magpies (Mark Edwards)

    Third in The Magpie Trilogy

I enjoyed this one a lot more then the second in the trilogy. There was a little more going on and the story kept my attention. Liked how Kirsty’s character came into its own. There was a few on the edge of your seat moments. All in all I enjoyed this one. Not sure a trilogy was needed but it was good to reach a finale.

I stumbled upon this series, and I was not disappointed! I LOVE the characters and their developments throughout the series! I have to admit, when I saw the length of this last installment, my heart sank, I wanted MORE!! HAHA. But, alas, after listening to it, I do not feel like I missed anything by it being shorter, if anything, I am thankful that Mr. Edwards did not drag the story out, just to have it be longer. I am excited to get into other Mark Edwards books, and am very happy he decided to follow through with his book about "a couple in a London flat".

So the first in the series was incredibly wordy. I think the author learned from that in the second and third installments. Shorter and sweeter in my opinion. Worth the read.

loved this book! it's short, but kind of nice the way the story unfolds, condensed with no fluff to drag it out
