      I’m sorry to say that the performance made it impossible to listen to this book. It’s the perfect example of the danger of a narrator taking on an accent or dialect which isn’t their own, and sticking with it through an entire book (it’s in the first person)…and apparently an entire SERIES. I’m not even a Southerner, but I could tell her generic, vaguely “southern” accent wasn’t that of Georgia. With probably a couple hundred actual Georgian actors in Atlanta, why not choose one of them? This was a weird combination of over-enunciated Ds and Ts, and a jumble of southernish everything else. Since the same person narrates all the rest of the series, I’ll just skip it— and it’s a disappointment, as it looked like fun; but the accent issue was to big a distraction to endure.
