John Warren
John Warren is Director of Education at Aberystwyth University. He has an academic interest in the sex-life of plants and a recreational interest in all things edible. Formally a cocoa breeder, he worked on the world chocolate gene bank at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad. Whilst there he published scientific papers on the unusual sexual practices of Caribbean cocoa and also pried into the private lives of several less familiar tropical crops including the star-fruit and tree cucumber. Prior to working in the Caribbean he spent two years literally sowing wild oats at the University of Liverpool. He has made regular appearances on BBC Scotland's Beechgrove Potting Shed.

Reviews for The Loving Dominant

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book. Perfect for new or curious people to the scene right through to seasoned pro Ds / Ss alike. The topics covered are broad so you can expext a lack of depth in some places but generally very thorough cross section of all things kink and power play. I particularly liked the 'recomended reading' section at the end of each chapter. Given the spectrum of information, this book makes a perfect aid memoir or an insightful dive into the DBSM world. A must read for all dynamics!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good information, all safe, sane, and consensual advice. Lots of references too.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Overall a good 102 type of book to dominance and submission. However, it does very much read like it is by a White Cis Hetero author which it is. At times he uses language I consider casually (so not intentionally) cissexist and heterosexist.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5While technically geared towards the Dominant, this book can be helpful to anyone interested in learning more about this lifestyle.
