Faizan Muhammad al-Faizi is a qualified and certified teacher of the Islamic and Arabic sciences. He has ijazaa (sacred teaching license) from various teachers, after embarking on a rihla (sacred journey) in seeking knowledge from the Middle-east, Indo-subcontinent and Europe. He hails from a family of ulama and Mashaikh who have relentlessly served humanity in explicating the way of the Last Messenger of God (up on him be endless salutations and benedictions). He is also a qualified teacher in the modern social and philosophical sciences graduating initially from Aston University and then post-graduation from Keele University. He was formerly lecturer of Sociology at the Joseph Wright Centre, Derby College. At present he is the head of the Chaplaincy department and senior adviser to HMP prisons Hollesley Bay and Warren Hill, where he also serves as Imam. He is the author of the Miftah al-uloom: The Key to the sciences, being a text book on Arabic Phonetics, Morphology and Syntax. He is the founder of the very recently formed, Lighthouse Foundation which aims to impart and inculcate the prophetic teaching for the restoration of humanity.view less
