eventually being catapulted into retail fashion. Taking a sabbatical
after nearly 20 years, she found herself on a small Mediterranean
island where she was introduced into a varied and hedonistic
world where the seeds of this story were planted.
On returning to London, she followed up some of the lives of the
friends she had made and they, in turn, showed her many aspects
of the gay lifestyle in Europe at that time.
Lifelong friendships developed from this experience.
