At that age he wrote his own Sherlock-type stories. But not fan fiction, Frank used original characters in the style of the Holmes stories.
He went on to read the Ashenden mysteries, most of Agatha Christie, the Bond books, the Saint stories, the Jack Higgins books, and so on, becoming a fan of mystery, thriller, and crime fiction.
Eventually Frank decided to pick the pen up once again and write stories of his own imaginings.view less
