Now retired, she resides in Spokane, WA where she enjoys the opportunity to pursue a long-held interest in writing. She is the author of two previously published books: Peaceful Valley, The Story of Kamiah’s Early Years—a historical memoir telling of her grandparents and the part they played in founding the village of Kamiah in NezPerce Indian territory. A second book, Uphill Both Ways, is an amusing travel memoir recounting the challenges and triumphs encountered as a novice rider, bicycling 100 miles in the Catskill Mountains.
